Weather is better now, and I can address the leaky roof. Am using a glue with a flexible component (similar to silicone), and I close now every single roof rivet and all the gaps between the roof and the metal parts of the box.
Does not look very beautiful, but the next rain storm will show if the leaks have disappeared.
