The bath tub

Today I decided to finally place the bath tub into the camper. This will give me the option to try various spatial configurations, before I build the separating wall and before I install the diesel heater.

So I removed a few things, among them the cupboard with the drawers and the 3x3 cupboard - needed the space now.

The tub looks very sturdy. I attached the support legs on which the tub will rest. Interestingly, the metal support bars are srewed directly into the bottom of the tub, which is there about 1.5cm thick.

Now I can start experimenting with various spatial arrangements.

Missing is still the composting toilet, which also needs to be fitted.

Door Frame

Winter is over, and the temperatures are getting again warm enough to continue the work on the camper conversion.

The back plexiglass doors had been framed on wooden side bars. Originally I had thought that I would leave that wood in its natural look, just covered with a transparent varnish to protect it against moisture. But it did not look so good - so I decided to paint those wooden side beams in black.

Looks much better now. The next step is to paint also the sides of the door frames in black - that will look more classy.

Inside I will keep the natural wood look, as this looks more rustic.
